| This teapot is marked with the following hallmarks: the Queen's head, a Mask, a lion facing left, and a D. These marks are of the type that denote manufacture in 1839-1840. There is also a 192, a Z and an upside down v with three sprays coming out of the top with fan shaped pieces one above the other. Then in the middle of the pot is EJW&Bin the center. This is the mark of Edward, John & William Barnard. 19th Century.
The pot is 11" high, 9" end of spout to end of handle, 3 1/4" diameter of top opening, the main body is about 6" in diameter. It stands on four feet which come up into the body as the shape of a leaf. It is all hand engraved. The one side has a bird which is probably a crest but there is no other monogram. The finial at the top is an Acorn sitting on oak leaves. Every thing is in excellent condition.
