| This Knife and Fork Carving set is marked with the Shieffield mark from 1864-1865. The maker mark is Martin Hall & Co. 1863. They made a variety of sterling pieces. The knife is 11" long. The fork is 8 1/4" long. It is a beautiful set. The handles are deep repoussed with grapes, grape leaves and grape vines. The blade and tines are brilliant cut with vines leaves and what looks to me like a pineapple. They are signed on both the handle and the blade and tines. There is no damage to anything. |
